Our Sunday worship
Our worship services on Sunday are an opportunity for the entire church to meet together to praise God, to be challenged by His Word (the Bible) and to encourage each other in our faith.
We have two services – at 9.00 AM and 10.45 AM. During our first service we have activities for children but Sunday School for children runs during our second service. Adult Sunday School runs during both services.
Our Sunday Schools have different classes catering for different age groups (for more details see Sunday School). We have a prayer meeting at 8:45 AM, to pray for our church and its ministries and missionaries, the work of God, the world we live in and those in our fellowship.
Our morning services begin at 9:00 and 10:45 AM where we:
- sing songs, that help us to reflect on what God has done for us through Jesus Christ
- recite and read the word of God
- listen to a sermon designed to help us understand and apply the word of God
- pray corporately and seek the face of God
- celebrate the Lord’s supper each fortnight where we remember and proclaim Christ’s death on our behalf
- hear updates about what is happening in the life of the church.
A crèche operates throughout both services to care for young children aged 0 to 2.
The first morning service finishes around 10:15 AM and the second morning service finishes at 12:00 PM and both are followed by a warm time of fellowship over morning tea in our courtyard.
Our evening service begins at 5:00 PM. It is similar to, although less formal than our morning service. We encourage attendance and both the morning and the evening service. Our evening service finishes around 6:15pm; however, many people typically linger after the service to discuss the sermon and catch up with one another.
We’d love for you to join us for any of these times!
